While I was preparing dinner last night (cottage pie but with mashed cauliflower instead of potato - yum!) Dante decided to go play outside.
When i looked out the window to check up on him ten minutes later, I saw him tangled up in a bunch of household items. it took me thirty seconds to then realise that he wasn't tangled up but playing a game.
I came outside (with the camera) and asked him if he was a turtle - that's what he looked like to me.
"No, I'm an Astronaut"
He then proceeded to show me how an astronaut walked when they were on the moon, he showed me how an astronaut looks for "moon treasure" and then he showed me a bee he had found on the "moon".
I am constantly amazed at the games this little boy makes up. How he so accurately role plays something that he has only seen in books. How he can find totally unrelated objects and turn them into props for his games. amazed.

he is so cute.
kids have the most amazing imaginations =)
xx
I thought he was a turtle too but of course he's an astronaut!
My kid has no imagination. He just copies everything we do. He is currently washing my walls - with a flint brush!!!
I think at this rate you may need to start saving for that rocket ship he asked for a while ago - I reckon he will be an astronaut by hook or by crook LOL
Something to do with his creative mother I expect!! Love the action shots but I was quite taken by your first sentence and the idea of cauliflower mashed topping instead of potato. Who'd have thought my little baby who hated vegetables would be so creative. Loving it.....
So cute
